Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using LaunchPad SKN ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are a minor (under 18), your parent or guardian must consent to these terms on your behalf.

2. Description of Service

LaunchPad SKN is a Learning Management System designed for secondary schools in Saint Kitts and Nevis. It provides tools for lesson planning, content delivery, assessment, attendance tracking, grading, report card generation, parent communication, and AI-assisted educational content creation.

3. User Accounts

• Accounts are created by school administrators or through approved self-registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must provide accurate information during registration. Misrepresentation of identity or role is grounds for account termination.
• You must change your password upon first login when required by the system.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your login credentials with others
• Attempt to access data belonging to other users beyond your authorised role
• Upload malicious content, viruses, or harmful code
• Use the Platform for any purpose other than legitimate educational activities
• Attempt to circumvent security controls or access restrictions
• Use AI features to generate inappropriate, offensive, or non-educational content

5. Academic Integrity

Students are expected to complete assessments honestly. The Platform may monitor quiz and test sessions for integrity purposes, including tracking tab switches and navigation away from assessment pages. Teachers and administrators can review these monitoring records.

6. AI-Generated Content

The Platform provides AI-assisted content generation tools for teachers. AI-generated content is intended as a starting point and should be reviewed and adapted by teachers before use. The Platform and its AI providers make no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of AI-generated educational content.

7. Intellectual Property

• Content created by teachers using the Platform (lesson plans, quizzes, flashcards, etc.) remains the intellectual property of the teacher and/or their institution.
• The Platform software, design, and branding are the property of LaunchPad SKN and may not be reproduced without permission.
• Curriculum data sourced from the Ministry of Education remains the property of the Ministry.

8. Availability & Limitations

We strive to maintain the Platform's availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or due to circumstances beyond our control.

The Platform includes offline capabilities for basic functionality during network interruptions. However, features requiring server communication (grading, messaging, AI generation) require an active internet connection.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using the Platform, you consent to the data practices described therein.

10. Termination

School administrators may deactivate user accounts at any time. Users may request account deletion by contacting their school administrator. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service. Users will be notified of material changes. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
